Why does the Set 'Ready In' Time dialog say that a day is 24 hours?

Farm Town has a 20 hour day, and FarmVille has a 23 hour day. You may notice that the Set 'Ready In' Time dialog uses a 24 hour day, and you may wonder if this is correct. It is.

The stock items and the Manage Custom Items dialog use the game's "native" day length. In the case of Farm Town, that's 20 hours. If you make a custom item with a duration of "2 days", the Custom Items table will show it as "2 days". So if Farm Town announces a new crop (Chocoberries, 2 days), you can just add it as a 2 day item, without having to think about the Farm Town day length vs a 24 hour day. This makes sense.

The Products table, on the other hand, displays the Ready Date (when Remaining Time is checked) based on a 24 hour day. So if you add a product based on a 2 day item to the Products table, it will initially show a time remaining of:

This makes sense, since we live our lives on a 24 hour clock. In the case of Farm Town, the "1.6d" matches what Farm Town shows if you hover over the planted crop. In the case of FarmVille, the "1 day 21:59 hrs" matches what FarmVille shows if you hover over the planted crop.

When you are resetting a product (or adding a new product), and you choose to specify the Started time as "Ready In", you will see the Set 'Ready In' Time dialog. This dialog uses a 24 hour day. This is consistent with the remaining time that Farm Town and FarmVille show if you hover over a planted crop. So if Farm Town is telling you that the remaining time is 1.5d, you can enter 1.5d into the dialog and get the expected result. And if FarmVille is telling you that the remaining time is "1 day 20:00 hrs", you can enter those values in the dialog and get the expected result.
